Our Setting
Based in Freshford Memorial Hall, we are lucky to have a spacious village hall, our own private garden and beautiful surroundings to use as everyday resources. This enables the children to experience a wide variety of different activities as part of their learning.
The main preschool room is set up with a role-play area, construction toys, small world play, a book corner and mark-making resources.
The entrance hall is a flexible space used for cooking, indoor sand and water play, tactile/sensory exploration and arts and crafts.
Our garden is used regularly during free flow play, providing opportunities for digging, planting, creating potions and outdoor sand and water play. In good weather, the neighbouring playing field is the perfect space for energetic games.
Lastly, the main hall offers space for different activities, such as racing the ride-on vehicles, large scale construction, obstacle courses and yoga. This is invaluable space when the weather isn’t good enough for prolonged outdoor play.
